FIDAE: THE MAIN BUSINESS PLATFORM FOR THE AEROSPACE, DEFENSE, AND SECURITY INDUSTRIES IN THE REGION

The first edition took place in 1980 under the name International Air Fair (FIDA) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Chilean Air Force. In 2026, FIDAE, consolidated as one of the leading global exhibitions, will celebrate its 24th edition.

The International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE, is the oldest and foremost Aerospace, Defense, and Security exhibition in Latin America. The Fair biennially showcases the cutting-edge technologies in the fields of Civil-Commercial Aviation, Defense, Airport Equipment and Services, Homeland Security, Aircraft Maintenance, and Space Technology.

With nearly 45 years of experience, in FIDAE –organized and managed by the Chilean Air Force–, exhibitors present their products and services portfolio to the most important national and international companies, which provides real business opportunities and solutions to clients in emerging market economies. Important to note that the Fair creates an ideal environment for networking, bringing together supply and demand for business transactions.

FIDAE’s close ties with the Aerospace, Defense, and Security industries –as well as its renowned customer service– have strengthened its reputation as the primary gateway to the Region’s market. The Fair attracts a large number of companies and delegations of civil and military authorities. In this regard, the last edition featured 428 exhibitors, 957 delegations, 3,086 scheduled meetings, and 1,530 registered journalists/spotters.

The 24th edition of FIDAE will be held from April 7 to 12, 2026, on the northern side of Arturo Merino Benitez Airport in Santiago de Chile. In this opportunity, in addition to the static and flight aircraft demonstrations, the event will include a series of conferences. Undoubtedly, they will transform FIDAE into a hub of knowledge and debate on key topics related to its fields, while promoting the space industry with a particular focus on technological development and the promotion of talent and innovation.
