Every day it has become more complicated for the Naval Forces to be able to carry out their training and at the same time take care of the environment that surrounds us, making it necessary for technology companies to provide solutions to face this reality. That is why in this version of EXPONAVAL, the company MetOcean Telematics will be present with its products in the main naval fair in the region. MetOcean Telematics designs and manufactures state-of-the-art data acquisition and telemetry solutions and security products for the defense industry. Incorporated in 1983, MetOcean has been an industry leader in the design and production of integrated systems used for real-time oceanographic and environmental monitoring, naval gunfire simulation training, and real-time satellite asset tracking. MetOcean executives will be showcasing to naval delegations the Maritime Acoustic Scoring and Simulation System (MASS) is a free-floating buoy system that has been developed to enable warships to conduct self-directed Naval Gunfire Support (NGS) training exercises. The Maritime Acoustic Simulation and Scoring System can also be used in underwater surface gunnery. The use of simulation technology allows Navy ships greater flexibility and effectiveness in training. The Maritime Acoustic Simulation and Scoring consists of a set of six operational buoys, which report real-time acoustic event data, buoy position (GPS location) and precise timing (up to 150 microseconds) relative to the shot fall. This system has been designed to be portable and floating, therefore, gunnery exercises can be placed anywhere in the ocean.
