Minister of Defense assumes as Honorary President of Expo Naval 2022

The event represents an opportunity for business relations and to make known to the naval industry the largest exhibition and international congress of the industry in Latin America.

The event represents an opportunity for business relations and to make known to the naval industry the largest international exhibition and congress of the industry in Latin America. Representatives of ExpoNaval 2022 met with the Minister of Defense, Maya Fernandez, where they informed all the details of what will be the XII International Exhibition and Congress, the most important of the Naval industry in Latin America. In the meeting, the Manager of Corporate Affairs of GL events, Rodrigo Lobo, gave her details of the International Congress “The Challenges for a Maritime Condition in the 21st Century”, which will be held in the Passenger Terminal Puerto Valparaíso, between November 29 and December 2, 2022. The Secretary of State, after learning of the proposal, committed her participation in the next edition, assuming the position of Honorary President of ExpoNaval 2022, thus demonstrating her support for the event and the activities to be carried out. “We are happy to have the participation of Minister Maya Fernandez and for the valuable institutional support of the Ministry of National Defense, which is very interested in the naval industry issues that we want to promote. As organizers of ExpoNaval, we want to reaffirm the important role of the Chilean Navy in Latin America and worldwide, to exchange experiences, technologies and developments of this industry”, said Rodrigo Lobo, Corporate Affairs Manager of GL events Chile. In the same way, Lobo invited national and international exponents of the Naval Defense to be part of the Fair to discuss the role of the Navy today and establish business relationships and networking, in addition to publicizing the innovation and development of the naval sector. “With the active presence of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, we want to promote new investment projects and share experiences in innovation and naval development, boosting employment in the sector and national security,” Lobo concluded. At the event, it was emphasized that ExpoNaval will reaffirm the important role of the Chilean Navy in regional security, show local developments in goods, products and services for the industry, introduce new technologies to the market, and provide effective solutions to the navies that visit the fair.
