Santiago, March 24, 2022. Today at the premises of Fisa, in the Commune of Santiago, the Executive Director of Exponaval 2022, Rodrigo Lobo, met with representatives of embassies, and Naval and Defense Attachés from various countries, to inform about the most important international exhibition and congress of the Naval industry in Latin America, ExpoNaval 2022, which will be held between November 29 and December 2 at the Passenger Terminal Puerto Valparaíso, in the Valparaíso Region. Lobo highlighted the International Congress “The Challenges for a Maritime Condition in the 21st Century”, which will feature two panels: – “The relevance of being a maritime power”, oriented to analyze the impulse for new technologies, increased job creation and the training and development of human capital. – The case of Chile; How are we doing?”, where information will be provided on the country’s current progress in naval terms, its advantages and opportunities with a view to the future. Lobo explained that the exhibition will be spread over 14.5 thousand square meters, a meeting space for representatives of Navies of more than 35 countries, which will promote innovations and technological solutions in naval defense and maritime security. Likewise, the representative of GL events affirmed that the fair will have more than 160 exhibiting companies, will have more than 500 business meetings and expects to receive 35 thousand professional visitors. “This meeting was an opportunity to invite various international representatives to ExpoNaval, giving a preview of what the international meeting will be like and the opportunities it offers by presenting the latest in innovation and development of the sector,” Lobo said. Likewise, the representative of GL Events emphasized that “this fair will be an opportunity for Latin American countries and exponents of the industry, including naval institutions, suppliers of products, technologies and services, to establish commercial relations and contact networks that will help the progress of each nation”. The naval industry fair, considered the most important in Latin America, is organized by FISA, of the GL Events Group, and contemplates a meeting space between the Latin American Navies, Europe, America, Asia, Oceania and exhibitors of the world industry of defense, shipyards, technology, security, telecommunications, among others. The event aims to reaffirm the important role of the Navy in Chile, show local developments of goods, products and services oriented to the industry, introduce to the market new technologies not available in Chile, exchange experiences, technologies and international developments with local agents, and deliver effective solutions to the Latin American Navies.
