This Wednesday, November 22, at 7 p.m., at the Club Naval de Valparaíso, the presentation of a key meeting for the entire maritime industry in the region will take place. This is the official launch of Exponaval 2024, the international exhibition and congress that in its thirteenth version promises to consolidate its strategic role. “We have great expectations in terms of attendance. This will be one of the largest naval defense and security events in terms of participation, with the presence of navies from around the world, supplier companies and professionals from various countries, who will be able to establish commercial relations, and expand and strengthen their contact networks”, says Rodrigo Lobo, deputy general manager of Fisa, part of the GL events group, which organizes the exhibition to be held between December 3 and 6, 2024 at the Puerto Valparaíso Passenger Terminal. Consolidated as the most important event of its kind at regional level since it emerged in 1998, in this edition of ExpoNaval 2024 is expected to have more than 120 exhibiting companies, and receive more than 10 thousand professional visits from over 45 countries that will compose various naval delegations from around the world. “In our next version we want to contribute to establish an appropriate framework to further highlight the importance and progress of the defense industry, local industrial development and shipbuilding in Latin America and at the same time increase the ties of collaboration and networking between the navies of the region and friendly countries,” adds Rodrigo Lobo. Precisely, one of the objectives of the exhibition and international congress is to amplify the international presence. This desire, in fact, has been reflected in the positive response of foreign delegations that will participate in the meeting and that will represent countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, among others. Another strategic aspect of the meeting has to do with the technological aspect. “Our purpose is to show local developments of goods, products and services oriented to this sector; introduce new technologies not available in Chile; exchange experiences, technologies and international developments with local agents; and deliver effective solutions to the Latin American Navies”, anticipates Rodrigo Bastidas, manager of the fair. “We are interested in showcasing technological advances and innovations in shipbuilding, naval equipment, propulsion systems, maritime security, marine renewable energies and other related aspects of the defense industry. That is why this launch is so important for Exponaval 2024, since through this milestone we reaffirm the important role of the naval industry in Chile”, complements the executive.
