The most important international naval and defense exhibition and congress, ExpoNaval, is already in full swing for its new version to be held between December 3 and 6, 2024, at the Valparaiso Port Passenger Terminal. The international meeting, which has already started its commercial call inviting the main actors of the naval and defense field to be part of it, will seek to provide a space between the supply and demand of the industry, establishing commercial relations and contact networks, as well as making known the innovation and development of the sector. The supplier companies present at the fair will be able to promote new technologies and solutions in a wide range of topics related to defense, naval and maritime. It should be noted that, in this new version 2024, the fair expects to have the participation of more than 100 exhibiting companies, will have more than 500 business meetings and expects to receive 10 thousand professional visitors from more than 35 countries, considering the invitation of more than 50 naval delegations from all over the world. Likewise, exhibitors will have access to a broad agenda of meetings with the national and international delegations attending, establishing new contacts and strengthening existing business relationships. “Faced with the naval and maritime scenario, ExpoNaval presents an opportunity for Latin American countries, by bringing together so many exponents of the field in one place, including naval institutions, technology and service providers, where they will be able to establish business relationships and networking that will help the progress of their Institutions,” said Rodrigo Lobo, deputy general manager of Fisa. “Today we have great expectations in terms of attendance. This will be one of the largest maritime defense and security events in terms of participation, with the presence of armed forces, supplier companies and industry professionals from various countries. Therefore, we invite everyone to be part of this great international fair and congress,” added Lobo. ExpoNaval 2024 will present an international congress with various topics and the participation of prominent authorities and experts of recognized national and global trajectory, who will address key issues for a complete analysis of the new challenges of the naval and maritime-port industries. The event aims to reaffirm the important role of the naval industry in Chile, showcase local developments in goods, products and services for the industry, introduce new technologies not available in Chile to the market, exchange experiences, technologies and international developments with local agents, and provide effective solutions to the navies attending the Fair. ExpoNaval has been held every two years since 1998, and has established itself as the most important event of its kind in the region, being the meeting point between the navies of Latin America, Europe, America, Asia and Oceania, and exhibitors from the global defense industry, shipyards, maritime technology, security, telecommunications, among others. The meeting is organized by FISA, of the GL Events Group, and is sponsored by the Chilean Navy. EXPONAVAL 2022 In its 2022 version, ExpoNaval had the participation of 88 exhibiting companies, was spread over a space of 14.5 thousand square meters, held more than 500 business meetings, and registered more than 7,500 visitors, being the meeting point for representatives of navies from more than 35 countries, promoting innovations and technological solutions in naval defense and maritime security. The fair, located at the Puerto Valparaíso Passenger Terminal, showed in four days of exhibition a wide range of naval and defense industry offerings. In addition, it presented in two days the International Congress “The Challenges for a Maritime Condition in the 21st Century”, with the participation of more than 10 speakers and panelists from America and Europe, both from the public and private sectors, with great trajectory and experience in the naval world. In view of Chile’s role in the naval industry, the event succeeded in promoting innovation, providing tools for its development in the country, and contributed to the relationship between companies, boosting the creation of direct and indirect jobs that are produced around the fair.
