In commercial aircraft, Airbus offers modern, fuel-efficient aircraft and associated services. Airbus is also a European leader in defense and security and one of the world’s leading space businesses. In helicopters, Airbus provides the most efficient solutions and services for civil and military rotorcraft worldwide. Airbus employs some 63,000 people in four European Union states: France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. The company has subsidiaries in the United States, Japan and India, and produces and markets the world’s first fly-by-wire airliner, the Airbus A320910, and the world’s largest airliner, the Airbus A380. Since 2011, it has been the world’s largest manufacturer of aircraft and aerospace equipment. AIRBUS CHILE Airbus’ presence in Chile spans more than three decades, from the establishment of offices in the early 2000s to the subsequent 10,000 square meter facility that houses helicopter training and maintenance facilities, as well as offices for Airbus’ sales and customer service teams. Since its arrival in Chile, Airbus has played an important role in the country’s aviation community by developing and employing local talent, and continuously supporting customer operations through training and safety seminars. Airbus employs approximately 100 people in its three divisions in Chile.
