ASMAR participates in Exponaval 2024 with innovative presentations and capabilities

ASMAR (Astilleros y Maestranzas de la Armada), Chile’s shipyard, recognized for its commitment to excellence in the construction and maintenance of ships for the Chilean Navy, is participating in Exponaval 2024, one of the most important events in the defense industry.

In this edition of Exponaval, ASMAR will present the Icebreaker, a vessel recently delivered to the Chilean Navy and already in full operation. This vessel represents a milestone in ASMAR’s ability to build specialized ships that meet the highest international standards.

In addition, ASMAR will exhibit the Escotillon IV project, consisting of the construction of 4 multipurpose amphibious transport ships, whose first stage includes two units, which have begun their construction process in ASMAR’s shipyard in Talcahuano. This project stands out for its versatility and capacity to support various naval, scientific and humanitarian operations.

Visitors to Exponaval 2024 will also be able to learn first-hand about ASMAR’s capabilities in the repair and maintenance of naval units. The company will also demonstrate its experience in the modernization and transformation of fishing and merchant vessels, both domestic and foreign.

In the outdoor stand of the exhibition, ASMAR will exhibit a static exhibition of inflatable rubber boats and semi-rigid boats of its PUMAR line, manufactured for the Chilean Navy and other national and international institutions. These boats are recognized for their durability and performance in extreme conditions.
